RESY RSF and RESY Duo roller screen filters

Principle
The RESY RSF roller screen filter system has a lower throughput capacity than the RESY TF drum filter system. It is mainly used for chip removal and medium filtration on individual machines. The filtration efficiency is equivalent to that of the TF filter and can be adjusted within certain limits by using different filter meshes. The standard configuration uses an 80 µm chrome-nickel steel mesh. No filter aids are required. The filter operates fully automatically.

The filter consists of a filter drum that rotates continuously or intermittently and is mounted at an angle of approximately 25° relative to the discharge outlet. A discharge screw is integrated into the filter drum and rotates with it via a positive-drive mechanism. Depending on the shape of the chips or the medium, the discharge can be directed either directly into a container or into a centrifuge for drying.

The rolling of the chips during rotation keeps the filter cloths clean. Should any internal build-up or clogging occur, this is eliminated by a nozzle assembly which blows air from the outside inwards across the drum before it enters the filtration phase. The roller screen filter is a cleaning system specially developed for cleaning large volumes of liquid containing high levels of chips. It enables cleaning without additional energy costs and without incurring operating costs. Maintenance requirements are minimal. The roller screen filter offers unrivalled value for money.

For specific processing methods, a dual-circuit system should be used. This is recommended for the coarse cleaning of RSF filters. The medium cleaned in this way can be used without any problems for rinsing tools and for the external coolant supply. For fine cleaning (approx. 20–10 µm), for example for internal coolant supply, an additional KBF filter must be installed in the bypass. – See Figure 2 on the right. This filter combination opens up a wide range of possibilities.
