RESY drum filter TF

The RESY TF drum filter system is a filter system that has been tried and tested over many years. This system is used to clean emulsions and oils in machining processes. Depending on the filter fabric tension, the filtration effect is approximately 80 microns upwards. The special filter fabrics have a service life of several years. No filter aids are required for this system.

Priciple
The filter consists solely of an intermittently rotating, horizontally mounted filter drum, which is mounted in a stable frame. This filter drum is covered on the inside with a filter fabric. The filter fabric is supported by an outer support fabric. The filter fabric and support fabric are combined into individual segments, which can be easily replaced. The filtrate flows directly into the filter drum via a central connection flange. The filter drum is divided into three chambers, which alternate in their function depending on the rotation: filtration chamber, drip chamber, discharge chamber.

The chips retained inside the drum filter are fed by the rotation of the filter drum and corresponding carriers into a centrally mounted screw conveyor, which transports the chips out of the drum filter. Depending on the shape of the chips or the medium, the discharge can be fed directly into a container or into a centrifuge for drying. The chips tumble during rotation, keeping the fabric clean. If internal adhesions or clogging do occur, these are removed by a nozzle block that jets the drum from the outside inwards before it enters the filtration phase.

The drum filter is a cleaning system that has been specially developed for cleaning large quantities of liquid with a high chip content. It enables cleaning without additional energy costs and without incurring operating costs. Maintenance requirements are minimal. The price-performance ratio of the drum filter is unrivalled. In large centralised systems, a partial flow can be finely filtered for special applications using a RESY KBF compact belt filter system.
